INVESTMENT ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST – UAE NATIONAL
Job Purpose
Our client, a Government Entity based in Abu Dhabi, is currently looking to hire a UAE National Investment Accounting Specialist, to ensure the Client’s investment transactions accounting and control activities are extensively controlled through the monitoring and review of the custodian, fund manager and General Partner activities.
Job Responsibilities
– Reconcile the monthly investment accounting reports and journals provided by the custodian, fund managers and by private market investments.
– Reconcile the Client’s trial balance to the Custodian’s trial balance position and private market investments position to ensure consistency in all sets of records.
– Review and validate all monthly investment accounting reports and journals provided by the custodian and by private market investments.
– Review & Analyze all the required reports to reflect the investment positions and transactions accurately.
– Play an active role in the implementation, changes and improvements in automated financial and management information system for the Client.
– Ensure the timely and accurate completion of the settlement and control of all investment activities executed by the Client.
– Calculate and record all fees charged in respect of Investment Management, Custody and performance are calculated in accordance with agreements.
– Ensure that all transactions related to capital calls, fees, distributions and valuation are reflected in the records.
– Complete ad-hoc analysis and reports on request.
– Review all updates to IFRS analyse the impact of any changes to IFRS and maintain a log of all changes to IFRS.

Qualifications / Experience Required
– UAE Nationals only.
– Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification.
– Part or Qualified CA or CPA.
– Detailed knowledge of financial and accounting principles, in particular accounting for all types of investments including private markets, equities, bonds, derivatives and back office operations.
– Minimum of 8 years’ experience an investment accounting
– Minimum 4 years’ experience in dealing with global custodians, private markets and General Partners
– Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification.
