IT Applications Manager – UAE National

Job Purpose

The IT Applications Manager will be responsible for managing a wide range of enterprise applications that support multiple business functions throughout the organization. This role plays an important part in ensuring the smooth operation, integration, and improvement of shared applications, ensuring enhanced efficiency across departments. The manager will work with the stakeholders to understand their requirements and lead ongoing efforts for continuous enhancement.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work closely with different business units to gather requirements and ensure that the applications effectively meet the firm’s objectives.
  • Oversee daily operations and maintenance of all applications in the business.
  • Handle the entire application lifecycle including any implementations, upgrades, or discontinuation when necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement focusing on optimizing application performance and enhancing user experience.
  • Ensure that all applications comply with data governance policies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee SLAs
  • Provide regular updates & reports to the stakeholders on the status and performance of all IT applications
  • Lead audit activities ensuring all IT applications compliance with regulations
  • Establish standardized processes for managing IT application changes whilst adhering to quality standards
  • Proactively solve any problems by identifying root causes and developing long-term solutions
  • Staying up to date with the latest technology trends & fostering a culture of innovation
    Qualifications / Experience Required
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
    • 10+ years experience in IT Applications in an enterprise environment
    • Strong understanding of IT Applications across various business units
    • Proven track record of leading complex systems implementations & upgrades
    • Excelling communication skills & problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
