STRATEGY ASSOCIATE – UAE NATIONAL

Job Purpose

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a UAE National – Strategy Associate with a strong background in strategy consulting from Tier 1 or Tier 2 firms. As part of their team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the institution by helping drive strategic initiatives, analyze market trends, and support executive decision-making.

Job Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine corporate strategies, including growth, market entry, and competitive positioning.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging market opportunities within the financial sector.
  • Project Management: Lead and support strategic projects, ensuring timely execution, effective cross-functional collaboration, and alignment with business goals.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop financial models and perform quantitative analysis to evaluate business cases for new initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic investments.
  • Problem Solving: Identify key challenges and provide actionable solutions to drive business growth and operational efficiencies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various business units and external stakeholders to gather insights, build consensus, and drive strategic recommendations.
  • Executive Reporting: Prepare presentations and reports for the executive team, summarizing insights, recommendations, and action plans.
Qualifications / Experience Required
  • Consulting Experience: 3-5 years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Strategy&, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Kearney) with a focus on the financial sector.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred but not required.
  • Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of the financial services industry, including banking, asset management, insurance, or fintech.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with experience in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and market research.
  • Project Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead strategic projects, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts and present to senior leaders.
